Position Overview:

Risk Policy Operation Manager will engage in the implementation of credit risk policy or policy related processes changes and systems/tools/email enhancements. The risk policy operation manager will work closely with Risk Operations, Risk Management and Risk OE to operationalize risk policies, trouble-shooting issues and monitor key success metrics.



Core Duties:

1. Implement and operationalize merchant credit risk policies, particularly to Leverage deep knowledge of PP operations environment, risk credit and fraud to identify ways to deepen the teammate skills and ultimately, reduce loss 40%

2. Support business strategy by engaging with Product/OE/Risk Management/Risk Detections 20%

3. Identify the gaps of existing policies or policies related process, permission setting, tools or systems and lead the improvement initiatives 20%

4. Explain metrics and KPI changes with policy/process changes 10%

5. Engage with risk policy/legal and other partners to further tune policies and business goals;Be a bridge between global fraud operations and the policy management and functional teams 10%

Position Scope Details

The Policy Operation Manager (POM) will work with global and regional risk policy teams to determine policies and strategies within Risk Operation environment. The POM will leverage a deep understanding of PayPal Operations, merchant credit risk operations, and policy drafting to identify opportunities to improve teammate skills in preventing fraud. This will include working with Training and OE to provide long- term development f teammates in this area, ultimately leading to fewer losses and better customer experience.



Prerequisite Knowledge & Proficiencies

1. Deep understanding of PayPal merchant risk operations, in particular credit risk operations

2. Strong coaching and mentoring skills to improve teammate decision-making quality

3. Strong business analysis and consensus-building skills for initiating, developing and gaining consensus of policies and strategies

4. Ability to prioritize trade-offs between business and operational requirements

5. Ability to independently lead implementation of operational policies and processes in a diverse and complex cross-functional team

6. Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders. Skilled in written communications and in presenting complex material in a large or small group. Ability to present to senior management.

7. Ability to produce and analyze metrics supporting decision making for projects and policies



Experience

5 + years of fraud or risk experience

2-3 years of process/project management experience

2+ years of supervisory experience



Education

BS/BA degree or equivalent
