- For our Energy Management Division in SHANGHAI, we are looking for a R&D Engineer for focus on the product design of MV AIS（中压开关柜研发工程师）.

What are my responsibilities?

1. Project realization of new products according to design specification with considering of cost, time and ability of manufacturing including current day manufacturing.

2. 3D modeling and drawings creation to ensure quality of design meets project development specification.

3. To ensure availability of manufacturing data e.g. shop drawings and SAP master data are available for manufacturing.

4. Quality assurance of the design out put according to R&D design guideline and standard SOP of manufacturing.

5. Quality assurance of the project (milestone review, design review, release document).

6. Clarifying details of procurement (specification, supplier, terms of business) together with purchasing dept.

7. Synchronizing on the manufacturing and logistics concept with relevant departments.

8. Confirming the products are complying with relevant standards (IEC/DL/GB, etc).

9. Technical and commercial project controlling (DMC cost, Time, technical and economic objectives).

10. Clarifying of the patent situation.

11. Preparation and maintenance of Product Design Configuration.

12. Product training for related departments.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

1. Knowledge of medium voltage products and applications;

2. Knowledge of competitors' products and applications;

3. Knowledge of common standard (IEC/GB/DL) and requirement specification of MV product;

4. Knowledge of MV product structure (primary) including components and detail application.

5. Knowledge of R&D processes;

6. Knowledge of 3D design software and technique of drawings creation including data management for manufacturing.

7. Knowledge of product design variants including its application for selection e.g. standard/option;

8. Knowledge of LoA process & business conduct guidelines including compliance rules;

9. Experience in Power Distribution business with a solid knowledge of market, competitors and Siemens scope of products/services;

10. Understanding & experience of MV products, market requirements, and evaluation techniques which allow effective product differentiation.

11. Focus on project goal, innovation;

12. Ability to work in an intercultural environment with international teams and different company cultures. Fluent oral and written English is mandatory.

What else do I need to know?

Mission of Function:

- Project realization to fulfill specifications defined by project manager in accordance with budget, and timeframes described, as well as technically. In addition DTC measures as agreed with project manager shall be designed to meet cost saving.
