eBay GCTO is seeking an experienced IT professional with overall General IT knowledge and a strong systems management background to work in a role as a Senior IT Asset management Automation Expert within the eBay GCTO Asset Management team.
From a technology standpoint:
- Candidate is expected to have a senior level systems management background and must have worked with any of the major Systems management tools like Altiris, SCCM, HP Openview or similar. A minimum of 3 years working primarily with any of these Systems Management is required
- The candidate should be comfortable and knowledgeable about writing Transact SQL statements to extract, manipulate, compare, join data from multiple sources.
- Candidate is expect to show Proficiency in ETL processes and be familiar with any good ETL and integration tool, preferably Microsoft SSIS.
- The candidate is expected to possess strong Microsoft Excel knowlegde to include, creating Exec Ready Excel Reports, pivot tables, using Excel to extract data from backend Databases, V-Lookup to compare contents of multiple excel reports amongst other advanced Excel techniques.
- A good grounding in working with Sharepoint is a must. Candidate should be knowledgeable about presenting data in sharepoint and in updating and maintaining the team web presence in sharepoint.
- Knowledgeable in collecting user requirements and translating those requirements into existing tools and enhancements in current tool sets.
- Prior knowledge of BPM design and implementation is plus though not a requirement.
- A working knowledge of any contemporarily used programming Tool (C# especially) is highly desirable
From a professional maturity Standpoint:
- Proven ability to pick up asset management concepts
- Solid project management skills: ability to see projects from end to end with good follow up skills when working with cross functional groups
- Product evangelist: Ability to take little known Asset management tools and utilities and making them available to the large iTrack user community. Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the product and its features across the organization
- Create use cases and detailed product requirements documents to articulate desired product features and functionality to the technical design team
- Ability to work independently and with little direction.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Excellent communication skills in English
