Job Responsibilities:



Dedicated to the provision of the all-around solution concerning to the potential risk brought by Internet/third-party payment in PayPal system and improvement of the customer experience. Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities includes:



1 Handle 'big data', using best practice in Teradata, SAS, Hadoop and any other tools, supporting risk analyzing, risk model developing, auditing, deployment and model performance management

2 Utilize database programming especially SQL in preparing, analyzing massive and highly complex data sets

3 Provide on-going production support on large scale data-driven platforms

4 Conduct auditing to ensure high quality of model deployment

5 Create, execute and enhance risk operation process

6 Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple different time zones


Requirements:


1 Master degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields

2 Practical experience on SQL and good understanding of database platform (Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)

3 Working knowledge and experience with Unix or Linux platform (Solaris , AIX, HP UNIX, BSD, etc.) for administration and scripting

4 Programming and debugging experience in popular programming language (Shell, Perl, Python, Java, C++, etc.)

5 Experience in statistics software (SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, etc.)

6 Experience in using version control system

7 Good communication skills. Fluency in English is a must, both written and oral

8 Knowledge of risk management, e-commerce, payment is a strong plus
