Responsibility:

·         Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring quality of general ledger journal entries and closings and compliance with US GAAP and PRC GAAP and regulatory requirements.

·         Ensure preparation of US GAAP monthly / quarterly / annual consolidated financial reports of Acorn International, an NYSE Listed Company, including quarterly earnings releases and the annual Form 20-F.

·         Ensure preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual management accounts financial reports.

·         Ensure preparation of daily management accounts reports for company-wide and business units.

·         Ensure preparation of PRC statutory accounting reports for PRC subsidiaries.

·         Coordinate with Financial Planning & Analysis to prepare annual budgets and updated financial forecasts.

·         Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, payment of expense, and recording of assets and liabilities.

·         Assess the current accounting and financial operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.

·         Hire, train, mentor and retain skilled accounting and systems staff.

·         Coordinate with auditors to ensure their timely review of quarterly earnings releases and finalization of annual audit report so that Form 20-F can be filed by the deadline.

·         Coordinate with Internal Auditor to address identified issues on an on-going basis.

·         Ensure tax compliance and make recommendations relative to future tax planning.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor degree or above.  CICPA, AICPA or ACCA qualifications are a plus.

·         Experience within the finance department of US listed companies; familiarity with both US and PRC GAAP.

·         7+ years relevant working experience in accounting.

·         Familiarity with Tableau would be a plus.

·         Strong attention to detail and adept at generating ad hoc financial reports as needed.

·         Fluent in Chinese and English.
