Job Title: Science Laboratory Assistant

Report to: Head of Learning Assistant, Head of Science

Location: The British International School, Puxi Campus 闵行区华漕镇金光路111号（提供市区多站点班车）

Key Tasks:

-Preparation of chemicals and other solutions and apparatus for science classes as requested by science teachers

-Preparation of science equipment orders in conjunction with science teachers

-Preparation and maintenance of supply of worksheets and other science teaching materials in conjunction with science teachers

-Occasionally assisting science teachers during pupil experiments in the science laboratory

-Maintenance of science apparatus Maintenance of safety equipment Stock control of chemicals and other consumable equipment in the science department Looking after science department equipment

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate is likely to have some form of post-school qualification in one of the sciences. They should also have a good knowledge of science terminology, safety procedures, and be able to understand and communicate in English.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, an analytical mind, the ability to work well under pressure, initiative and outstanding organisational competence.
