Job Title: Application Engineer

Location: Shanghai

Department: China Sales VAR

Report to: Manager of Support and Application, Greater China

Subordinates: None

Job Responsibility:

Technical Support (90%)

• Provide general product support via email, phone or user forums

• Taking ownership and working support cases (post and pre-sales) and ensuring the cases are being worked in the correct priority order and resolved in a timely manner.

• Provide second level support and training for new Channel Partners, their AM’s and technical staff as needed

• Assist in the development of written materials such as technical notes, knowledge base articles and product training materials

• Support service project and system integration development(consulting, testing and implementing)

• Conducting Altium Designer pre-sales web based demonstrations (public and private) and online demonstrations

• Delivering public and private training classes

Self Development (build and maintain technical knowledge level) (10%)

• Work with early product releases to understand new features and their value

• Remain current on key industry issues and trends e.g. through magazine and web articles, white papers, press releases, conference proceedings, trade shows, seminars, tutorials and other methods

• Concerned about the competitor's products, understand their strengths

Qualification/requirements:

• Electronic Engineering qualification preferred or equivalent experience

• Outstanding fresh graduate , 1+ years experience

• Technical experience is welcomed

• Experience in a customer support/service environment (preferred)

• Knowledge of the electronics industry including familiarity with key issues, design processes and products

• Knowledge of PCB design, FPGA design, system design and/or embedded software development

• Good reading & writing English, fluent spoken English is preferred
