Job Responsibilities:

1. Independent calculation of target / “should” cost under best practice approach (for new technologies after alignment with supervisor) applying company calculation methodology (incl. benchmark calculations and simulation of scenarios (scenarios to be aligned with supervisor)

2. Conduction of internal value and cost engineering workshops incl. evaluation of components based on drawings, similar parts and specifications in coordination with supervisor

3. Independent analysis and evaluation of components for known processes (for new technologies after alignment with supervisor) along the entire supply chain based on drawings and supplier visits

4. Support project buyers in supplier workshops / visits after alignment with supervisor

5. Identification and implementation of cost saving potentials (e.g., within internal projects)

6. Independent analysis of supplier cost-break-downs and quotations for known components (for new components and manufacturing processes after alignment with supervisor) in preparation for supplier negotiations

7. Support of further development of systems, tools and methods in alignment with supervisor

8. Independent preparation of recipient-oriented documentation of work results

9. Recipient-oriented presentation of work results in internal and external meetings and committees after alignment with supervisor

Job requirements:

1. Studies in engineering, physics, technical; Specialization in production, industrial engineering, manufacturing, tooling, development, purchasing, cost analysis

2. 6-8 years working experience

3. Practical experience in technologies in manufacturing processes

4. One core technology competence (e.g. injection molding, stamping, die-casting, etc.)

5. Experience in applying methods for price and cost structure analysis (e.g., product calculations, cost analysis, design-to-cost, value stream methods, value analysis, functional analysis, etc.)

6. Technical experience idea creation and problem solving

7. Moderation and presentation techniques
