Job Responsibilities:

The Analog/Mixed Signal AE (AMS) plays a critical role in the success of Synopsys customers as they design custom ICs which push the limits of complexity, time to market and silicon technology by enabling the adoption of Synopsys analog/mixed signal design products and methodologies

The AMS AE works with customers to solve complex technical challenges in circuit design & simulation, custom design environment, custom layout and library characterization. Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, methodology guidance, technology deployment and technical account management.

The AMS AE is expected to manage multiple customer issues concurrently and be very effective at interacting with them. They will not only work with design engineers, but first or second level management as well.

The AMS AE aligns with Sales to exceed quota as they proactively manage customer accounts for success. Sales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking.

The AMS AE plays an active role in account planning and working as part of the account team to develop solutions to customer problems based on their insight into the customers’ needs and issues.

The AMS AE is a part of an AE team managed by the Technical Manager. They are expected to leverage their knowledge and experience in the custom design and layout process to the rest of the AE team.

They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements.

                                Business travel is required for this position.

  

  Job Requirements:

  MSEE (or equivalent) required with 3+ years custom design experience or BSEE  (or equivalent) with 5+ years custom design experience.

  Design experience should include analog & mixed signal design, circuit  simulation with custom design environment and mainstream simulators. Deep  understanding of custom design methodologies is also required. 

  Working experience with custom layout, physical verification, RC extraction and  library characterization, Synopsys AMS design and layout flow in leading-edge  process nodes is strongly preferred.

  Working knowledge of scripting languages like Unix Shell, Perl, TCL, SKILL,  Python is preferred. 

  Excellent verbal and written communication with English and Mandarin are  required. 

  Customer oriented working, ability to multiplex many issues, self-driven and  the desire to help customers exploit new technologies is essential for success  in the AE position.
