Working Hours （40 hours per week Term-time only）：

• 8.00am – 5.00pm 4 /3 days per week 
• 6.00am – 3.00pm 1/2 day per week

Provides dedicated service, monitoring and supervision of the third party catering supplier to ensure the health and safety, nutritional values, choices and presentation are at the highest level possible.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising the food services on the DUCKS, Junior School & Senior School campuses. Work with the Caterer for the catering requests for all events.  
• Supervise and monitor the full cycle of restaurant operations including but not limited to the goods received in the early morning; menu design; food sampling; food labelling; presentation; waste management, etc. This will also include interaction with students and staff at all across College whilst the lunch service is in progress.
• Work closely with the third party service supplier to ensure the catering team structure and capability are sufficient to accommodate the College needs. 
• Ensure the required data is uploaded onto the appropriate system on daily basis, such as:  sunshine Lunch Platform and other required information systems. 
• Liaison with Intertek, the external monitoring agency as required. 
• Work with the third party service supplier and facilities team to ensure the facilities are all in excellent condition at all times.
• Supervise Nurse Food Monitoring Arrangement across the DUCKS, Junior School & Senior School campuses, providing a report on a weekly basis. 
• Work with the catering service provider to ensure the training, recording and reporting meet the requirements from relevant policies and regulation plus the additional School training requirements. 
• Liaise with the Catering Service Provider to ensure training is continual and appropriate with emphasis on food health & safety, food hygiene, best practices and menu development. Providing a termly report to the Head of Operations & Facility. 
• Work closely with the third party to implement the infectious Diseases Prevention Management. 
• Work with the Deputy DBA in maintaining and monitoring the internal catering and nutrition portal for parents. This will include, uploading information, responding to queries and ensuring a continual flow of relevant information to parents. 
• Is a member of the DCS Nutrition Committee.

Any reasonable request made by the line manager that ensures consistent delivery of service to the College (including emergency Bus Monitor cover duty where required)

Requirement

Essential

• A minimum 2-3 years’ restaurant or catering operations managerial experience in large scope environment.
• Diploma in Food & Beverage Management or similar.
• Health certificate.
• Ability to demonstrate multi-tasking skills. 
• Strong people management and third party supplier management skills.
• Ability and confident to use initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Strong ability to build team spirit. 
• Confident, problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese. Welcoming, friendly, honest and flexible.

Desirable

• Experience of large-scale School catering. 
• Knowledge of nutritional requirements for School children. 
• Diploma in Business Administration. 
• Experience of event management. 
• Experience of database website and digital content management. 
• Familiarity with Chinese National and Shanghai municipal food safety guidance and policies.
• Health and safety qualification.

DUCKS 527 students (age 2-6 Toddler – Year 2)

-   11.30am -- 12.30pm Toddler, Nursery and Reception Lunch time

-   12.00pm -- 12.30pm Year 1 Lunch

-   12.30pm -- 1.00pm Year 2 Lunch

Junior School 502 students (age 7-10 Year 3 – Year 6)

-   11.45am -- 12.40pm Lunchtime

Senior School 578 students (age 11-17 Year7 – Year 13)

-   12.40pm – 1.40pm Lunchtime
