AVP/VP, Credit Analysis & Evaluation 

  

Job Purpose

  

• To assist IBG 1&2 in writing high quality credit submissions in selected industries by conducting effective credit analysis and evaluation, so as to improve the turnaround time in credit proposals

  

• To work as a team with IBG RMs as well as the Credit approvers to improve the already high quality of the bank’s credit portfolio

  

Key Accountabilities

  

• To add value to IBG 1&2 by working closely with the RMs to write high-quality credit submissions and improve turnaround time in credit proposals

  

• To provide input in deal structuring to meet customers’ needs

  

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  

• To write high-quality credit submissions

  

• To provide input to facilitate proper deal structuring

  

• To help monitor credits

  

• To help development of lending guidelines and portfolio strategies

  

 

  

Requirements

  

• Front line business experience in lending or related activities.

  

• Credit analysis and evaluation experience in pure credit functions or as part of the RM team, in which complex credits and/or structuring are involved.

  

• Minimum 6 years’ experience of corporate banking experience, preferably in China

  

• University graduate

  

• Market & industry knowledge

  

• Credit and Risk management skills

  

• Analytical / problem solving skills

  

• Knowledge of credit policies / underwriting standards

  

• Communication skills

  

• Ability to read, understand, and analysis complex financial reports

  

• Ability to structure deals to meet the needs of customers

  

• Good understanding of the market and economic dynamics that affect the China market

  

• Must be a communicator

  

• Must be a team player
