Key Responsibilities
Develop and use the data summary and reporting tool to ensure the analyzed information can be delivered to high management for decision making, to QA internal users/cross function team for controlling and to vendors/3rd parties for improvement.
Responsible for taking the lead to enhance the exist QA program or initiate new QA program to make QA program more effective and QA operation more efficient;
Supporting quality management information system development and rollout according to the timeline.
Manages assistant managers, QA engineers, specialists, admin assistants in QA operation team who are responsible for vendor/factory qualification and disposition, product quality measuring and disposition, vendor performance reporting, 3rd party performance reporting, etc.
Works closely with leadership of QA engineer team, Sourcing team and Lowe's US QA team, 3rd party service providers in order to build the most effective and efficient communication approach.
Essential Responsibilities including establishing team objectives, measuring vendor/factory and 3rd party performance, data management and reporting, improving QA program effectiveness and operation efficiency, support Quality Management System development and maintenance, and developing people.
Required Knowledge & Basic Qualification
Must have comprehensive understanding of QA operation procedure, knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Management Information System Project Management, Quality program execution with 3rd party and supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/quality management or other technical sciences is required.
5-8 years working experience in the field of quality assurance, managing vendor quality assurance activities in well-managed buying offices or factories and of which 3+ years in management role.
Strong leadership, collaboration and project management skills, with solid experience leading a team size of 5+ team members, leading cross functional team to develop and implement quality management system, continuous improvement and sales return reduction project, etc.
Skilled working knowledge of total quality management and certified ISO9000 or TS16949 internal auditor.
Strong understanding and demonstrated use of quality tools such as Kaizen, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, statistical tools, advanced product quality planning APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA.
Skilled knowledge of statistical software (Minitab, etc.).
