BAUMANN SPRINGS is an international company headquartered in Switzerland. The company develops and produces high-tech springs and stamping parts for selected industries, such as the automotive and electrical industries as well as the medical technology sector. For more than 125 years, the BAUMANN Group has stood for Swiss precision and quality – on three continents. The company has ten production locations all over the world with over 1,300 employees.
This year, BAUMANN SPRINGS created a new business unit to accelerate the promotion of one of its specialty products called contact elements. A contact element is a ring-shaped spring that transmits high currents in small spaces and is also used in purely mechanical connectors. Its use is limitless – static as well as dynamic applications in high-voltage and medium-voltage areas, the automotive industry and many other sectors. The business unit operates like a “small business” within the BAUMANN Group and comprises an own production facility, engineering department and sales force. The flat hierarchy and a direct reporting line to the CEO of the BAUMANN Group allows for efficient decision making. In order to support the expansion in China we are looking for an engineer to provide technical advice to our customers.

Job function
1.Provide technical solution proposal to local customers;
2.Support local technical projects;
3.Train customers in Contact Element application with focus on Medium Voltage and High Voltage;
4.Support sales’ daily job on technical advice for Chinese customer, training of customer and technical inquiries;
5.Engage the customers’ technical department regularly to understand the potential needs and development of technology through regular visits and structured meetings;
6.Act promptly for customer technical inquiries;
7.Coordinate with team members to meet customers’ requirements;
8.Provide technical advice to sales staff;
9.To perform special projects/assignments or additional tasks assigned by immediate supervisor;
Requirements
1.Bachelor in Engineering, Electric is preferred;
2.Experience working in electric industry, at least 5 years’ working experience in Medium or High Voltage;
3.Technical know-how of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), experience in electric system design;
4.Willing and being able to learn Contact Element application quickly, experience of applying Contact Element application is a plus;
5.Worked with international company is preferred;
6.Eager to work in an entrepreneurial team setting;
7.Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must;
8.Interested to work for a Swiss Company;
9.Good communication skills;
10.Willing to travel;
