GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

NPI buyer is part of purchasing department, with the prime role being to take respisibility for the developing and implement specific product work packages to ensure the objectives of Federal-Mogul’s purchasing and operations are met.

• Responsible to get new components successfully launched at the suppliers respecting Cost, Timing Targets, Quality and Capacity;
• Achievement of Cost, ODT, PPAP Approval and SOP targets;
• Project management to achieve target, cost and timing expectations;

• Maintaining performance metrics and tracking sheets for NPI activities;
• Implementing global sourcing strategies and processes;

• Support global team;
• Consolidate budget for all external investments including development/tooling etc for all new components within the project;
• Coordinate Product Launch Supplier Quality Engineer activity for all new components;
• Conduct tooling capacity analysis on New Product to ensure the supplier’s production proposition can meet demand requirements;
• Track all cost changes and initiate/participate in reduction activities to stay below price target;
• Take leadership for all supply base activities for the project and ensure actions from support functions;
• Support the development and implementation of processes to enhance the overall efficiency of new product introductions;
• Organise and Lead Sourcing Committee activity;
• Ensuring early production suppliers nomination and Concurrent Engineering deployment;
• Ensure APQP Process is deployed all along development;
• Price and terms negotiation.
• SAP or other similar ERP system

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BA in business or engineering.
• 3-5 years purchasing experience in the multinational company. Minimun 2 years experience in automotive environment or similar
• Ability to work across a variety of cultures and mindsets.
• Strong understanding of the key success factors of efficient global supply chain management.
• Ability to work in a team environment across all corporate functions: engineering, marketing, purchasing, production.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access).
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Open-mind, Self-motivated, able to manage many projects simultaneously.
• A system thinker able to understand and respond to the broad needs of internal customers.
• Solid analytical skills, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (MUST).
