Job Title:  Project Manager

    

Department:  R&D Project Management-430                                                                                  

    

Reports To:  Senior Project Manager

        

Direct Reports: Ian Han

    

        

    

Position Overview:

    

    

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall project management of a product development.

    

    

    

Responsibilities:

    

? Manages risk plans, resource plans, budget, schedules, communication between key company groups, and other associated PM processes

    

? Ensures that all features are properly prioritized, adequately staffed, and executed to meet the schedule, quality and business goals

    

? Identifies and mitigates project risks

    

? Provide engineering guidance and support to designers and OEM partners for new products.

    

? Oversees project budgeting, resource utilizations, material planning, and project planning

    

? Constructs and administers the project management plan and insures change control processes are used effectively to communicate scope, schedule, or resource variations to stakeholders

    

? Provides regular program performance updates/reviews to management

    

? Willingness to travel as needed, overseas experience is preferred

    

Experience/Requirements:

    

? 10+ years of wireless work experience

    

? Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, preferably those projects dealing with new HW and FW design

    

    

? 5 years minimum project management experience and previous wireless experience managing projects involving modems or smartphones which involved software and hardware development

    

? Experience with engineering processes for HW, FW, mechanical design, and factory introduction

    

? Familiarity with LTE, CDMA-1xRTT/EVDO, and GPRS/UMTS standards desirable

    

? Knowledge of 802.xx standards desirable

    

? Experience working with 3rd party suppliers/ODM's a plus

    

? Experienced in using MS Project

    

? Must have the ability to lead/influence a global team

    

? Strong communication skills

    

? Ability to direct and coordinate the work activities of the project team

    

? Ability to communicate directly to senior management

    

 ? Excellent English/Mandarin communication skills

    

    

Education:

    

    

? BSEE required

    

? PMP desired
