职位描述

Senior International Supply Chain & Procurement Project Manager – MENAI(Middle East North Africa India)


Main Purpose :

  • To deliver a COGS for the MENAI business which ensures that the store business model returns in line with our New Market Entry strategy and target store model
  • To support the delivery of the MENAI marketing calendar to ensure that we deliver the Global Innovation Calendar in line with the 70/30 global/local operating ratio
  • To deliver the International Supply Chain Strategy, including some procurement and management of products within MENAI
  • To ensure that MENAI market requirements are fully represented in supply decisions to deliver product and promotional launches into market on time.
  • To manage the End to End SC Process on behalf of the Franchise Partners – including Comms and COGs impact 
  • To manage International Supply Chain Projects from conception through to operational handover. Projects will range in diversity and complexity including New Market Entries, 3PL Tender management, new Regional Distribution Centre implementation, new product introduction and management of country specific product requirements, minimum order quantities and supply lead times.
  • To act as the in-market point of contact for the central procurement team
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, both UK and International, to ensure they are engaged in the relevant change projects as and when required.
  • To support the project governance structure by providing data about projects in a timely and coordinated manner.
  • Effectively work with 3rd parties (Logistics Providers/Suppliers/Consultants/Software Providers) to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • To effectively communicate, influence and challenge colleagues at all levels across the UK and international business.

Main Responsibility

1. Support the change agenda through effectively managing dedicated International Supply Chain & Procurement projects from conception through to successful conclusion

  • Ensure project milestones are met
  • Ensure project savings/efficiencies are achieved as per the plan
  • Raise any concerns/problems/issues in a timely and coordinated manner
Managed projects are effectively implemented and realise the savings/efficiencies/product launch timescales as initially planned.  Any expected difficulties are raised in a timely manner through the right channels, to ensure that mitigating action can be taken as and when required
2. Create and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders across the globe and in different cultures
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping exercise
  • Ensure relationships are built with influential stakeholders in relevant business areas
  • Maintain regular touch points with key stakeholders
  • Effectively manage contentious decision points through the strength of stakeholder relationships 
There is a good awareness of who the key stakeholders are within the business, and regular 2 way conversations are held with them to ensure the smooth progress of the Supply Chain Change Programme
3. Close liaison with the Global Innovation and Procurement teams on product launches and NPD
  • Be the key point of contact in market on country specific requirements for new product launches and supply chain changes
  • Undertake local sourcing activity alongside the central procurement team
  • Ensure launch timescales and MOQ requirements are fully considered in all project plans

Product availability improves, products are  launches on time, country specific requirements are fully understood and  products are sourced locally to meet country specific needs or where products  from other markets are not suitable

4. Project Documentation needs to be written, maintained and communicated to relevant parties

The Senior Project Manager is  fully aware of what their project is trying to achieve, what decisions  have/haven’t been made, who the project impacts and what the costs/benefits  will be.  All Project Management  documents are completed and updated on a regular basis

5. Steering Group content provision and Working Group set up
  • Information is provided in a timely manner to the Head of International Supply Chain for the Programme Steering Group as and when required
  • Cross functional Project level working groups to be set up as required

All relevant business areas are consulted in key decisions, and all relevant parties have the opportunity to feed in to projects at the relevant points in the process

6. Performance Management documentation needs completing, and the Senior Project Manager needs to play an active role in the team

  • Attend regular 1-2-1’s
  • Attend Team Meetings (Periodically)
  • Complete performance management documentation
  • Attend 6 monthly performance reviews

The Senior Project Manager is  aware of their expected contribution to the business and how they are  performing against it.  They also play an  active part in the broader team through attending and contributing in the  relevant meetings and touch points

7. Keep up-to-date with latest Industry/Supply Chain developments around the world, in particular China, South East Asia, MENA and Europe
  • Keep up-to-date with competitor developments through industry press/store visits/3rd parties
  • Keep up-to-date with latest Supply Chain developments through industry press/sources/3rd parties and conference attendance
Awareness of what is going on in our industry from both a competitor and supply chain perspective.  This will enable us to ensure that we can review any developments so that we do not miss any improvement opportunities, or fall significantly behind our competitors.  Also, being able to quote what our competitors do from a change perspective can provide our stakeholders with confidence in what we are doing and also demonstrates the art of the possible
8. Base decisions on strong analytical insight
  • Ensure that any project hypothesis is backed up with the relevant data where possible
  • Ensure all team members have the relevant skills to manipulate/analyse large data sets to support the Project Management Process
  • Ensure that any conclusions driven by data are signed off by the relevant owners, e.g. Finance, Commercial           
Decisions will be made on the back of supporting data to ensure that we are doing the right thing.  All team members will be competent in handling and analysing data on a daily basis.  Data outputs will also be verified with the relevant business owners to prove credibility.
9. Communicate effectively both locally and across different time zones and cultures
  • Ensure that all communications to the wider business are fit for purpose and are suitable for the intended audience
  • Ensure that all communications are consistent in their structure, look and feel to ensure continuity across the wider Programme 

Communications need to be effective and to the  point.  All communications written by the  team will be suitable for their target audience, and will be presented in a  clear and consistent format.
