Automation QA Engineer -- Digital Media Recognition (Lasso):



Responsibilities:

· Work closely with development and product management in translating product requirements and functional designs into highly effective test plans, execute these plans, and communicate issues clearly

· Responsible for the quality of the product features tested as well as how the assigned features interact with existing features

· Develop and maintain automated and manual test sets

· Be highly creative in automating test cases and creating tools and scripts needed for supporting the test cycles

· Be able to use the testing tools available or find\create new ones to solve our unique testing needs

· Work with offshore testers to accomplish creation and execution of test sets



Qualifications:



Required:

· Minimum of 3 years experience in a creation\execution of test plans for software products

· Strong technical background such as programming knowledge of C/C++, C#, Java, or Visual Basic

· Minimum 2 years experience with software development projects using Java

· Minimum of 1 year experience testing or developing web based applications

· Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as an excellent ability to quickly grasp concepts and learn new technologies

· Ability to work well and contribute in a team environment as well as the ability to work efficiently with little direction - Experience with test automation with emphasis on automating tests that run across multiple operating systems and platforms using either commercial or home grown tools

· In depth knowledge of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris

· Must exhibit initiative and self-motivation as well as the ability to balance working on multiple projects\features




Desired:

· Experience with TestDirector

· Working knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle

· Desire to have fun and enjoy your job
