We are looking for a talented front-end developer with 2 to 5 years of related industry experience, preferably working on large-scale, high-volume consumer-facing web applications. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, can work under minimal supervision and can develop rich user experiences independently based on style guides, composite designs and interaction specifications.
In addition, the following skills are required:
? Vast experience with JavaScript and common libraries, such as JQuery
? Highly proficient with HTML(5) and CSS; ability to produce high-quality HTML / CSS renderings based on Photoshop files
? Experience implementing many complex user interactions in the browser using HTML and JavaScript
? Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues
? Ability to make clever use of AJAX calls to balance computation between server and client to optimize performance and memory usage
? Familiar with developing sophisticated interactive charts and tables rendered fully in the browser
? Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns
? proficient in one or more of the following languages: Java, C++, C#
The following skills are preferred but not required:
? Proficient in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Scala, Grails, Groovy, Go
? Experience with one or more of the following client-side frameworks: Ember.js, mustache, handlebars, Highcharts, JQuery DataTables, Google Chart Tools
? Experience with one or more of the following server-side frameworks: Zend, Spring, Spring Roo, Ruby on Rails, Django, Node.js, Play
? Experience implementing and working with JSON REST web services
? Commonly writes unit tests; familiar with common unit-testing tools such as JUnit, PHPUnit, pyUnit, Selenium, etc
? Comfortable working in a Linux-based environment; ability to use the Linux command line to build code and install and configure libraries and services needed for deployment
? Experience with continuous integration tools (I.e. Jenkins, CruiseControl)
? Experience with ant and maven build tools
? Experience working with remote teams; comfortable communicating via wiki (Confluence) and issue-tracking tools (JIRA) as well as doing code reviews (Crucible)
