Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple RedPrairie projects and associated customer relationships.
Acting as a trusted advisor, the Project Manager is the primary point of contact and liaison between internal RedPrairie personnel and the customer
Leading a project team, the Project Manager will apply project management and logistics experience and industry best practice to deliver a RedPrairie solution that will assist customers to maximize their operation and achieve ROI.
Further, the Project Manager will continuously seek opportunities for additional products which will assist the customer and exceed project expectations
Essential Responsibilities / Duties
1. Delivery of RedPrairie projects
? Manage the overall RedPrairie Project Plan to ensure delivery against milestones.
? Build and execute plans that delivers the expected ROI as agreed during the project kickoff and sales handover process
? Agree critical success factors with the customer for the successful implementation of the project
? Guide customer in risk management and mitigation for entire implementation plan.
? Understand the customer's business, goals and philosophy.
? Act as primary contact for day-to-day management of the implementation.
? Follow endorse and improve the RedPrairie Approach.
2. Provision of all project management services for the implementation
Project Planning and Resource Planning / Management.
? maintain up to date project plan
? maintain effective utilization of resources
? maintain resource forecasts ensuring Services Director and Technical Director informed
? raise all Statements of Works for the project, ensuring approved by the Services Director and/or EMEA Operations Director as applicable prior to issuance to the customer
Project Financial Control.
? Manage to budgeted estimates.
? Manage payment of receivables.
? Ensure invoicing per project requirements, including POD and POC
? Maintain financial forecasts
? Document scope changes and obtain financial approval prior to work commencing and within month-end deadlines
Project Governance
? Risk and Issue Management
? Periodic reviews with Services Director
? Change Order Management
? Completion of monthly project monitors
? Implementation in accordance with RedPrairie methodology
Business Consulting.
? Provide guidance for customer-owned tasks.
? Evaluate RedPrairie product offerings for solution fit
? Provide operational knowledge of supply chain concepts and general logistics knowledge.
? Provide long-term guidance for support and upgrades.
? Manage Communication & Expectations, providing timely status reports
? Ensure handover to support in accordance with the planned schedule and as determined by the go-live/roll out strategy
3. Supervision of project team
? Manage the assignment and completion of tasks
? Coach individuals and support and initiate project teambuilding and project team morale.
? As applicable provide quality check of all deliverables
? Close interface with Software Manager to ensure engineering activities delivered in accordance with project plan to include periodic internal reviews
? Contribute to ongoing performance management
? Complete "lessons learnt" document upon completion of each stage of the project
Additional Responsibilities (depending on size of project)
4. Assess requirements, operational flow and design solution.
? Understand the client's business, goals and philosophy. Quantify goals and develop metrics upon which project success can be measured.
? Work with clients to define requirements within project scope, documenting "as is" and "to be" processes.
? Identify customer metrics that are below ideal goal
? Deliver consultancy regarding application functionality and possible enhancements
? Map functional requirements, develop best-fit model and identify gaps
? Identify barriers to productivity and provide cost benefit analysis and change impact assessments
? Create solution design 'blueprint'
? Write solution summary for the customer
5. Implementation of the Solution
? Assist customer implementing "to be" processes
? Create system documentation for all configured elements
? Log and manage issues
? Assist clients with functional/unit testing and end-to-end/CRP testing of solution
? Assist with migration of solution to production environment
? Support go-live and roll-out of solution
? Execute training to both internal and to clients
Experience / Qualifications
? Bachelor degree or equivalent business experience
? Solid functional knowledge of the RedPrairie WMS and associated products
? Typically minimum of 5-8 years experience in software solutions and life cycle, 4 years of which in a customer facing senior consulting role
? Knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management principles and practices.
? Logistics experience from warehousing support middle management role is an advantage
? Track record in managing the delivery of multiple software applications projects
? Track record of managing project teams in excess of 5 and project durations in excess of 4 - 6 months
? Consultancy experience in implementation (desirable)
? Experience of change and risk management.
? Project Management qualification (Prince 2 practitioner or similar)
? Fluent English in both oral and written
