Primary purpose of the role

The position of Business Development Manager reports to the Trade and Investment Commissioner forday-to-dayoperationalmattersandtothe ChiefEducationOfficer,DEInternationalforfulfilmentof contractual obligations. The role requires an individual who can identify and capture opportunities to develop education exports intoNSW.

The position will require the development and maintenance of extensive networks with companies across the education and related sectors in both NSW and China.

• Conductmarketresearchacrosstheschooleducationandrelatedsectors,assessandcompile information, provide strategic advice to DE International seeking to develop business relationships and develop strategic alliances with Chinese education agents and government agencies
• Constantlydevelopnewmarketcontactsandnetworksacrosstheschooleducationsectorand be able to relate this to the objectives of facilitating NSW educationexports
• Efficientlymanagechangingworkloadswithflexibilityincoveringtheschooleducationindustry and large numbers ofclients
• Plan, coordinate and implement a program of activities to promote NSW government schools, specific products and services and support agent events and activities acrossChina
• Support and monitor education agents in China to ensure compliance with the ESOS Act and National Code requirements and carry out due diligence checks for applicants seeking to register as DE International education agents and study touroperators
• Apply DOI business practices and maintain accuracy of information in business systems to deliver accurate and timely reporting and relationship management while upholding the Code ofConduct
