职位描述
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify and understand market / customer needs and based on this, select suitable products within the comprehensive product portfolio of CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) and introduce them to the customers.
- Vigorously support the sale of Bayer Material Science Products. Advise and assist existing and potential new customers.
- Support concluding agreements with customers at commercial terms based upon decisions taken by CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) according the company policy and rules.
- Act as first point of contact towards customers to address and help solve critical issues around contracts and orders (e.g. collections as per assigned credit days, logistics, product quality/specifications, shortage of material).
- Provide technical service to customers including generation of projects
- Decides about the level of technical support provided by Application & Technology Development to the customer and on projects to be pursued (Gatekeeper function)
- Negotiation of prices in accordance with the specific range defined by CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty)
- Provide and maintain a market intelligence service to keep CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) fully informed on market, customer and competitor's activities and product developments and of any pertinent market development.
- Undertake all activities required to efficiently extending, developing and penetrating the market
- Make monthly rolling sales forecasts based on the current market knowledge and estimated prices.
- Responsible for monitoring outstanding receivables and credit limits
- Join and support all marketing activities to promote CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) awareness in market (e.g. Coating Show, Adhesive Show, various technical seminars)
Education, Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor degree or similar educational qualifications associated with the chemical industry
- Proven track record in dealing with customers in a commercial role within the targeted market segment
- Experiences and knowledge in the technical application of CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) products in the targeted market segment
- Experiences in multinational companies in a similar role
- Strong technical expertise and lab experience to consult the customers on existing and new formulations, applications, properties
- In-depth knowledge of CAS (Coating, Adhesive, Specialty) products and applications
- Sound understanding of supply/demand and market dynamics
- Result and customer-oriented
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to operate by processes
- Effective communication and problem solving
- English language
- Highly motivated
