The purpose of this position would be to connect our pursuit teams in the functions to best practice proposal content and to build their knowledge on hot topics, sector issues and strategic initiatives.  This will involve working closely with functional stakeholders at all levels, particularly senior management, to gain a deep understanding of the information needs that will enable our front-line teams to be more efficient and effective in pursuing opportunities and winning business.

Having quick and easy access to current relevant "knowledge" during the proposal process is vital to ensure we make the most of our opportunities. Based in Markets, the candidate would work across all three Functions with a mission to increase proposal efficiency (easier and faster proposal development process) and proposal effectiveness (consistent, high-quality proposals with a higher win-rate)

Responsibilities

Proposal Knowledge Analysis (80%)

- Gather past proposal documents for all functions and service lines across regions
- Conduct analysis and work with service line leads (and/or nominated individuals) to identify best of breed proposal documents
- Arrange sanitization and upload the approved proposal elements to the pursuits centre on the internal portal
- Formulate and manage ongoing processes to ensure our pursuits centre has updated, relevant and comprehensive proposal content
- Tracking and evaluating proposal quality and consistency
- Analysis of current credentials for all functions and service lines
- Implement credential harvesting procedures
- Conduct research on what other countries member firms (and competitors) are doing on proposals
- Make recommendations on how we can leverage technology to deliver digital interactive proposals
- Investigate whether proposal training materials or programmes are available globally or in other member firms.  If appropriate work with functions to devise proposal training for our professionals locally.
- Work with sector leaders/executives to understand the information needs and ensure that our people have quick and easy access to sector related materials in the pursuit process
- Ensure that there is seamless integration between sector content and related proposal, credentials and templates
- Identify poposal knowledge/content gaps and take appropriate steps to fill them

 Portal Management – Proposal Materials (20%)

- Review metrics for all proposal materials and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure proposal/pursuits related portals and its subsites are current and up to date
- Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and manage portal implementations for any proposal related initiatives
 
Skills & Experience

- At least 7 years’ experience in a professional services or corporate environment
- Some background / experience in marketing or business development is essential
- Excellent and proven analytical skills
- Someone with client facing background and regular involvement in proposal design and delivery would be highly desirable
- Highly organized individual with excellent written/verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Business focus: Understand the business of KPMG and be able to deal confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders within the firm, working closely with all functions and service lines across the business.
- Flexible, resourceful, independent and self-motivated with excellent inter-personal skills. The ability to liaise with senior management and partners is crucial
- Some knowledge or experience of user requirements analysis, content management or web design is desirable but not essential
