1 SUMMARY

This Statement Of Work (SOW) describes the work package necessary to support the Comac C919 flight test program with a logistics technician

    2            DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES    

The following duties to be performed as a member of the CFM flight test team based at Comac SAMC Zhuqiao, Shanghai, China.

    

1. Ensure that the warehouse is compliant with documented safety, quality and security requirements

    

2. Ensure that all parts contained within the warehouse have appropriate and rapidly accessible documentation

    

3. Visually inspect all incoming parts for condition and documentation

    

4. Pack parts for shipment using appropriate protective materials

    

5. Prepare shipment documentation

    

6. Facilitate rapid and compliant shipment of parts to and from various flight test locations

    

7. Ensure that the inventory is always up-to-date and appropriately posted on the flight test team homepage

    

8. Warn the team leadership when quantities of commonly used parts need to be replenished

    

9. Perform regular self-audits to ensure quantities are correct and compliance with quality requirements

    

10. Ensure parts with limited shelf-life are adequately flagged for disposal and replacement at the appropriate time

    

11. Dispose of expired or scrapped parts in compliance with quality requirements and local laws

    

12. Organize and prepare “fly-away” kits

    

13. Devise a storage management system that ensures rapid part retrieval

    3            SPECIFIC ABILITIES REQUIRED (in order of  priority)    

Knowledge and experience in the following subject areas are desired (in order of priority).

    

1. Experience working in a storage facility, preferably in the aerospace industry

    

2. Basic logistics knowledge

    

3. Experience managing the transportation of hazardous materials

    

4. Basic abilities in MS office programs

    

5. Excellent Mandarin verbal and writing skills

    

6. Basic English verbal and writing skills

    

7. Good team worker

    

8. Can work on over time

    

9. Monthly business trip required
