Essential Responsibilities 

? Work with design engineers from global sites for component selection, specification review and failure analysis.  

? Support and recommend alternate components to address obsolescence and reliability 

? Develop & maintain component technology roadmaps, based on industry trends and design requirements. Communicate roadmaps to engineering community. 

? Expert at document configuration control  

? Strong communication skills to work with design engineers, Sourcing and component manufacturers. 

Qualifications/Requirements 

? Associates degree in Electronics and a minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent. 

? Knowledge & experience in selecting & qualifying electronic components – Passive Components, ADC/DAC’s, Memories, Power Devices, Controllers, ASIC’s, FPGA/CPLD’s etc. 

? Strong expertise in reading and understanding component datasheets and interpret specifications. 

? Knowledge of electronic components suppliers/vendors & market for latest trends and technology. 

? Ability of electronics components life cycle management – Obsolescence Management. 

? Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills for presenting, discussing, and documenting technical information. 

? Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a desired goal.

上世纪80年代起，中国进口了首批420台GE运输系统集团制造的ND5柴油内燃机车。2002年，GE运输系统集团在北京成立了通用电气运输系统（中国）有限公司，提供研发、制造和其他服务。2005年，GE运输系统集团与中华人民共和国铁道部签订了300台Evolution系列中国干线机车合同，用于中国各大铁路干线。2008年GE运输系统集团创建了第一个矿用自卸卡车电动马达生产厂，并成立了通用电气运输系统（沈阳）有限公司。2010年9月9日，GE公司与中国南车旗下的戚墅堰机车有限公司成立的合资企业正式开工奠基，在中国开发、制造GE Evolution系列机车柴油发动机并提供服务，以及向其它新兴市场提供出口。2010年12月，GE运输系统集团与中国南车股份有限公司签订了合作框架协议，将在美国建立合资公司来共同促进高速铁路及其他轨道交通技术在美国市场的推广发展。

在过去的6年多内，公司实现了两位数的业务增长，在北京、上海、大同、成都、常州和格尔木等城市设有办公室。
