Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

• The position is a member of the CTC SF&S Technology Team responsible for executing Harder and Coated film and sheet developmental programs within Specialty Film & Sheet, and supporting SFS CTC technology team on film product testing. Primary interaction is with SF&S Technologists and Commercial/Product Management personnel. • Projects involve new Harder and Coated film and sheet product and process development programs, product measurements for issue resolution support. • Activities include coating formulation preparation, laboratory scale coating application and curing on film/sheet samples, laboratory testing, In Mold Decorated (IMD) part failure analysis, SOP generation, documentation of experimental results, and sample shipments to global team and validation customers.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelors in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical/Mechanical/Polymer Engineering or related fields• Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and interaction skills.• Education/training in polymer science, algebra, and statistics including Six Sigma• Proficient in use of information technology (internet, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Minitab).

• Film aesthetics and mechanicals testing experience.
