Job Description Summary

1. A Senior Business Development Engineer works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines Medium & long-term organizational strategic goals with support from Global / local business development leaders, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

2. A Senior Megatrend Business Development Engineer will focus on product value proposition building up based on system understanding and technical selling, and defines the customers’ NBO pipeline and net revenue goals by teaching customers, finally to support NBO successful launch goal achievement

3. A Senior Megatrend Business Development Engineer will take the “technical selling ” roles for Sensata products with application in Electrical Commercial Vehicles including but not limit to bus, logistics vehicles, MD & HD.

4. Megatrend products related to “Electrification”, “Autonomous”, “Sharing” and “connection”, “Electrification and Connection” will be the main focus in short and medium term.

 

Job Description

1. Collect customers’ design requirements/information, project milestones, explore and identify business opportunities, initiate design-in & wins. Support sales to establish and maintain good relationships with the customers’ DMU;

2. Work out dedicated technical / product solution with global/local experts support for teaching customers, and responsible for technical communication with customers at opportunity pursuit phase.

3. Provide technical support including but not limit to:

(1)Technical parameter collection;

(2)Support 3rd party test lab test including EMC;

(3)On-site support for performance and endurance test in Customer side;

(4)Product development quality and timeline management and achieve excellent output in key project milestones;

(5)Market intelligence collection including the customer dynamic, competitors’ technology follow up, driving system architecture and technology development trend monitoring.

(6)Regular information exchange with global / local team, target to enhance Sensata products value proposition and leading market position.

4. Responsible for Megatrend related products NBO pipeline build up and support sales for NBO closure in time.

 

Requirement:

1. Bachelor or Master of Science, engineering Degree, major in Mechanical design / Electronics / Electrical Engineering / automation or automotive software engineering.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the HVOR NEV related components or system development. Focus on: 1) HVOR battery system including BDU / PDU, or 2) driving system design / testing / software or 3) Commercial vehicles connection & autonomous related.

3. Be an expert for HVOR electrification powertrain system, including battery, motor and controller system.

4. Quick learning and able to manage independently & ability to be self-starter.

5. Good relationship with leading HVOR electrification related OEMs and Tier 1.

6. Good interpersonal skills and team work with people from different cultures.

7. Fluent English in both write and speak.
