SMT Engineering Director is responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources in producing cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Oversee the engineering departments Equipment engineering, Process Engineering, NPI engineering, Test engineering and Debug.

• Successfully guide and influence senior level management, executives and key clients in their decision input needs.

• Actively participates in and/or supports major equipment contract negotiations.

• Provides the necessary/accurate leadership and support to site Managers to ensure projects are executed as planned.

• participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.

• Participates with other senior management in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience. A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.

• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.

• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

• Ability to think strategically, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• Fluent English.

• Accept to be dispatched to Chennai, India for 1 year.
