Familiar with PostgreSQL

Strong SQL,PL/SQL experience

Linux shell scripting

Strong understanding on Data Warehouse concepts & technology Performance tuning.

Strong understanding of BI concepts & tools.

Demonstrated ability to write SQL/MDX queries to retrieve/analyze/modify data

Java, Elasticsearch is a plus

Previous experience with AWS, Azure Services and other cloud experience a plus

Big data technologies (as Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Spark, R, Python) is a plus

Job Description:

Project Overview: We are looking for talented people to join our China BI team. The successful candidate will be an experienced database/ETL/BI developer with 5+ years of experience in the I.T industry and can perform business relevant analysis in an applied environment, Omni commerce or retail is prefered.

Responsibilities:

? Development and implementation of Data Integration (ETL) and BI programs within the China BI Data Lake (BDL) project team to support different partners and different initiatives including effective campaign segmentation and analytics, data mining, modeling and profiling to turn disparate points of data into information and actionable metrics

? Work with the technology project teams to implement new functionality to support business needs.

? Implement technical data requirements for integrating Omni data source.

? Develop, maintain and support the data exchange process between production data and BDL to support Omni commerce

? Processing large data files in a LINUX environment.

? Writing scripts, functions and stored procedures using SQL or Oracle PL/SQL.

? Updating databases to ensure data integrity.

? Provide technical support and respond to error reports, problems or questions.

Qualifications:

? Years of experience: 5+ years.

? BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline required.

? At least 5 years of technical experience with databases, data warehousing and BI tools .

? 3 years of experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Datastage, Talend etc.

? 3 years of experience with reporting and analytics tools – OLAP tools, Business Objects, Tableau

? Candidates with Talend experience will be given a strong preference.

? Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, java programming.

? Strong understanding of relational database concepts & technology – data modeling (dimensional/snowflake), SQL, query optimization, data warehouse architecture.

? Experience with setup, configuration, design best practices, performance optimization, team based development approaches with a leading ETL/BI tool.

? eCommerce, Retail, Supply Chain Management experience preferred, but not required.

? Well organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced demanding environment.

? Attention to detail and quality; excellent problem solving and communication skills.

? Ability and willingness to learn new tools and applications.

? Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts to business users and management
