Position Summary

Sales Support Engineer’s main responsibility is to create quotations and technical specifications for Merchant & Offshore sales cases, following the defined sales process. Constant communication with the sales team i.e. Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, as well as technical teams, is required to ensure customer satisfaction and most feasible solutions offering. Additionally, tasks include maintaining and updating of IT-systems related to the sales process on the responsibility of the sales support engineer. Sales Support Engineer is to be located in China and will focus on Asian area sales projects.

Responsibilities

· Study inquiries received from customers and sales representatives

· Prepare quotations and related documentation (i.e. system descriptions) for the customer

· Prepare materials lists and possible deviations lists for the quotations

· Participate in preparing project handover documentation

· Maintain and update CRM system & quotation documentation/archiving system

· Communicate internally with technology team on available technical solutions for the sales cases

· Participate in sales meetings when required

· Study latest industrial standards & regulations, and report on findings

Success factors/job competencies

· Capacity to learn technical solutions related to Evac products and the technology in general

· Basic understanding of delivery project business, including commercial aspects

· Good communication skills

· Customer service attitude (both internal and external customer)

· Capability to work in an international environment

· Good English language skills, other language skills (Chinese, Korean) are beneficial

· Previous experience on Shipbuilding/Offshore projects in the Far East area

Performance standards

· Number of created quotations & related documentation

· Feedback from sales managers and representatives

· Engineering/customization and deviations for offers

· Up-to-date information availability on Salesforce

Required Education and Experience

Degree in Engineering (Machinery/Process/Shipbuilding). 

Recently graduated or 1-5 years of work experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

The person must be eligible to work in China and travel in China/Korea/Japan/Singapore and South East Asia area.
