Infra Level B Support Engineer
Job Description:
I Incident Case
Follow up incident case from facility; network & voice; hosting and APM
Project & Change Support
Coordinate vendor and site resource follow up cabling requirement until ticket closed
Support vendor follow up network & voice and hosting hardware installation
Support vendor onsite survey follow up project/change requirement
Facility Operation
Monitor MDF/IDF temperature; humidity
Monitor UPS and PDU healthy
Manager Rack Space and update related document
Maintain cabling related document
Draft power maintenance announcement and hardware impacted list
Asset management
Support daily asset operation procedure
APM related project
Join APM related project to coordinate the on-site activity (example, video conference pilot installation)
Skill/Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of cabling standard
Knowledge of UPS working principle
Knowledge of network and server hardware installation
Knowledge of MDF/IDF standard
OR
OS & DB related incident
Monitor the HPSM ticket queue to handle the OS & DB related incident.
Escalate incident to higher level in case needed.
DB request handling
Work with application team to classify the MSSQl related request.
Submit the DB request to Singapore team and follow up until resolved. The request will include (access right request, LinkDB setup)
Submit exception request in case any DB request require additional exception approval.
DR Drill handling
Coordinate with different team to perform server disaster recovery test and record the test result.
APM related project
Join APM related project to coordinate the on-site activity (example, video conference pilot installation)
Print Server management.
Skill/Knowledge Required:
Windows Server OS related knowledge.
MSSQL knowledge ( Access rights , DBlink )
Knowledge of TCP/IP
Knowledge of TSM backup
OR
Network & Voice include WAN; LAN; WLAN; Voice; Security and Internet related topics
Network & Voice related incident
Monitor the HPSM ticket queue to handle the network and voice related incident.
Escalate incident to higher level in case needed.
Follow up incident case from global team. E.g. hardware failure or offline
Network & Voice related project
Work with project team to classify network or voice related business requirement.
Work with global team for new hardware deployment until service go live.
Work with global team for new wan circuit deployment until service go live
Work with global team and assign address to network related devices
Coordinate local ISP and global team setup wan and voice circuit until service go live
Coordinate internal or external human resource support hardware installation and cabling connection
Network & Voice related change
Submit ticket and follow up new network devices configuration
Submit ticket and follow up firewall rules change
Submit ticket and follow up new certificate application for wireless smart devices
Reserve and assign static IP address follow ticket requirement
Follow up change requirement from global team
Inventory management
Manage and record all network hardware inventory info inside CMDB
Skill/Knowledge Required:
Familiar with network hardware installation
Familiar with Industrial and production network infra design and deployment.
Familiar with WAN; LAN and WLAN Setup and troubleshooting
Familiar with security and Internet application setup and troubleshooting
Familiar with unity communication technique principle
Familiar with Industrial smart Pad and barcode scanner operation
Knowledge of TCP/IP
Knowledge of CCTV and Door Access System
Knowledge of Windows OS and VMware virtualization network related technique principle
