Role and Responsibilities:

?To design and write the embedded software as per the requirements of the client

?If the existing system needs to changed, then they are responsible for interpreting the requirements and changes that are needed in the software and develop specifications and discuss it with the seniors

?To review the implemented system, understand and interpret the error reports from internal staff and external clients, troubleshoot and debug them in the embedded environment and provide instant fixtures for the same

?To maintain and document the software programs and resolutions given for the technical issues and any other relevant data that may be of importance

?To interact effectively with the team members and contribute in increasing their knowledge and understanding their problems

?To work in close association with the clients to understand their needs and to address the issues related to the process

?Provide post production support

?Support software test engineer and functional safety manager

?Interface with hardware design and development

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

?A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, electrical or embedded software engineering is required. A master's degree is definitely a plus.

?Proven 5+ years working experience in automotive software engineering

?A combination of hardware and software would serve to be of great advantage.

?Proven working experience in functional safety software development.

?Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets

?Solid programming experience in C or C++

?Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems

?Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review

?Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components

?Strong documentation and writing skills

?Familiar with common MCU series from main suppliers

Preferred Skills:

?Solid programming experience in C or C++

?Familiar with common IDE, the working experience of model-based development with Simulink is definitely a plus.

?Familiar with functional safety software development procedure

?Good English skill of writing and reading.
