This role is a vital one for Dow Jones as the incumbent will be responsible for building up advertising revenue in one of the fastest growing markets for this company. Based in Beijing, one of the most important areas for advertising revenue, this is a high profile position. The successful applicant will be expected to build on the significant success of our media in this region. This is a challenging position working within a talented and experienced team of professionals in a company focused on growth in China.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
·Selling advertising in China for all Dow Jones media, both online and print, in particular CWSJ domestically and The Wall Street Journal internationally.
·Successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of accounts and categories and will also be expected to develop new business for our publications and online sites.
·Make calls on agencies and clients, prepare written proposals and presentations and when necessary translate DJ sales sheets and media information.
Job Requirement
·University degree
·Good sales knowledge and at least four years experience in the media/advertising industry.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with clients and advertising agencies at all levels.
·Very good written Chinese and spoken and written English and excellent computer skills.
·Self starter, dynamic and results oriented.
·Creative and innovative and used to working under pressure to provide solutions and to help build on the considerable success of Dow Jones in China.
·Ideally, the candidate should already have established strong and widespread network of contacts within the industry i.e. agencies and clients.
