1.1.1 Description

The System Test Manager (EE) is responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating all EE related systems engineering test activities on the project. This will involve the leadership of the systems test engineers assigned to the project, assigning them their roles as well as co-ordinating with other engineering disciplines and the customer.

1.1.2 Tasks and Responsibilities

The Systems Test Manager (EE) has the following responsibilities:

• Work with the customer to elicit all EE related System & Test requirements

• Work with the customer to come to an agreement on compliance on test requirements

• Support the problem resolution process in order to finalize Bug Fixing with Bug Fix Confirmation on EE driven deviations.

• Lead the systems test engineers assigned to the project to deliver the systems engineering deliverables by assigning them roles and tasks and monitoring their delivery

• Liaising with the other engineering disciplines to ensure that they understand their test requirements and that the subsystem test organisation will fulfil the overall system test requirements

• Support the Test Integration Lead (TIL) with EE related test plans, test reports, test metrics

1.1.3 Requested Qualifications: Test Tools

• Knowledge in Test Automation: ASM, ModelDesk, AutomationDesk, Motion Desk, ControlDesk, CAPL

• Spreadsheet (off line calculation of measured data): EXCEL, m-script, Diadem

• ENG.1-3 Tool Chain: DOORS, SysML, Rhapsody, …

1.1.4 Skills Profile

The System Test Manager shall have the following skill profile:

• knowledge and experience of test tools, test methods, test design, test suite and execution of the Test Process (Plan / Prepare / Perform / Perfect)

• knowledge of the application and intended use of the system

• experience in handling test (automation) tools

• capability to lead a team of test engineers

• capability to abstract, to model and to simplify

• capability to moderate

• capability to plan, monitor and control test projects

• capability to communicate with the customer/user, suppliers, project staff and project management.
