JOB TITLE: Business Developer (BD) for CDT category in China
FUNCTION/ORG: Transport Asia Pacific.
REPORTS TO: CDT AP Ops Manager
MATRIX MANAGER: None
CO-WORKERS: N/A.
LOCATION: China Service Office
TRAVELLING: 5-10 days in a month within China

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To develop and support the transport business with a number of service providers to secure customer availability. To strive for the best supply set up in creation / changing of supply solutions with the aim to secure high availability at lowest possible cost landed sales price.
To assure the demanded performance of the service providers.


ASSIGNMENTS:

· Responsible for Business Development of CDT by minimizing the prices for a number of service providers.
· Continuously develop the service providers with cooperation to secure long term capacity needs and goods availabilityfor customers.
· Responsible for centralized handling of all directed tenders for home delivery and other customers optional home services (i.e assemble and installation)
· Increase and secure the performance level, fulfilling the IKEA demands
· Administration of transport agreements in transportation and CDT systems.
· Increase the share of low emission transport modes
· Business responsible for predefined markets
· Take the role as IKEA ambassador when communicating with transport service providers
· Responsible for IWAY implementation with CDT service providers.

Communication & Working with others
· To monitor, plan and develop, together with Transport Operations Coordinator on transport operational set-ups that ensure service levels agreed with retail
· To work together with retail stakeholders and with service providers to create optimal conditions, to ensure preconditions for excellence in operations along the delivery process.
· Cooperate actively with coworkers within own and other transport areas in order to support each other actively with effective solutions to existing operational issues.
· Good people management skills and have huge potential to develop co-worker in future.
Routines & Working methods
· Actively support CDT AP operations manager with inputs for improvement, implementation and anchoring regarding existing and needed global & local transport related routines and working methods.
· Monitor and secure use of existing transport operational routines at internal and external stakeholders and partners in accordance with contractual conditions.

· Service performance (delivery precision)
· Transport Damages.
· IWAY approval.
· Customer satisfaction Index.

KNOWLEDGE:
· University degree (Transport, Logistics, Business Adm, Economics) or equivalent working experience of a minimum of 3-4 years working in similar position.
· Knowledge of different transport solutions, well verse with local government rules and regulations about local transportation industry is essential
· Familiar with home delivery transportation market especially B2C business
· Experience in e-commerce business environment is certainly and added advantage
· Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
· Good command of Japanese and English language, both written and spoken
· Experience in dealing with multinational business environment is an added advantage.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the "BIG" picture.
· Business minded and a strong interest in cost drivers and the implications on total business.
· Strong interest in home furnishings business by understanding customers expectations is an added advantage
