PURPOSE OF FUNCTION:
AP Customs team, as a competence center with customs and trade issues, the mission is to provide guidance and support to IKEA business and to achieve good performance in Customs, trade areas.

ASSIGNMENTS (main responsibilities):
· At as AP Customs compliance expert to support business/new flow development and operation. Including regular compliance review and to bring up operation compliance competence together with country leaders.
· Work together with global customs compliance experts in carrying out compliance related guidelines, reflect/execute local requirements and share experience.
· Contribute in Customs audit, valuation training and customs/trade compliance competence development within the function.
· Deliver Customs/Trade training/sharing to related IKEA BUs to bring up compliance awareness of both sending parties and receiving parties in supply chain. Including consultant, support to Trading in general trade/customs regulatory area.
· Lead or support some main Customs initiatives at region level in connection to global customs and country customs, related business groups, external parties.
· Develop, maintain necessary connection with related external parties in compliance, regulatory area to keep updated info channel. Trade environment analysis, regulation tracking and analysis, so as to maximize customs/trade benefit to IKEA related business flow.
· Coordinate, facilitate compliance issues resolution with external parties together with operation team.

COMPETENCE
Knowledge & experience:
· Min 6 years plus working experience in import/export/trade, logistics related areas, with no less than 3 years experience working with compliance, trade related issues.
· Solid experience in import/export operation and working experience with multinational import/export business preferred.
· Good interest and experience in customs/trade regulations, policy analysis, with proven record of experience in handling compliance/trade issues.
· Experience on communication with related authorities and lobby experience preferred.
· Strength in strategic thinking when supporting business development.
· Strong analytical skills and communication competence in multinational environment.
· Project management knowledge and experience preferred.
· University level or equivalent education background.
