PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Sustainability Specialist Asia Pacific supports activities in IKEA IMS to contribute to the ambitions in the Sustainability Direction of IKEA. The Sustainability Specialist is working towards making IKEA IMS, as well as its suppliers, activities more sustainable, ensuring that sustainability work is contributing to business objectives as well as safeguarding the risks.



ASSIGNMENTS:

· Support in the execution of the IKEA IMS Asia Pacific business plan.

· Support in the implementation of the IKEA IMS sustainability strategy and agenda.

· Provide the organization with expert knowledge and day-to-day support on sustainability, both on a strategic and tactical level.

· Conduct supplier code of conduct (IWAY) risk assessments, audits and developing activities.

· Lead and participate in projects within the area of sustainability.

· Inspire and motivate the organization to work with sustainability.

Sustainability parameters in the IKEA IMS Asia Pacific business plan.
KNOWLEDGE:

· Good knowledge and understanding of sustainable development,
Corporate Social Responsibility and environmental technologies.

· Good knowledge in IKEA business conditions and IKEA IMS business strategies.

· Good understanding of social and environmental legislation and conditions in industry and region.

· Good knowledge in project and change management.

· Good knowledge in supplier code of conduct (IWAY) audit methodology and techniques.

· Language skills: Speak, read and write English.
