The IRF Packaging and Cost Savings Specialist will work for APAC SCM Inter-Regional Flow, to: 

1. Evaluate, validate and address any issues (with the Logistic Providers’ support) concerning all packaging for IRF components:

a. Ensure that all packaging is compliant to IRF packaging and shipping standards, as well as with point of use (Plant) requirements

b. Ensure that all packaging costs are validated prior to launch

c. Ensure that all Supplier related packaging issues are addressed, working together with IRF Quality where necessary

2. Manage the Packaging Logistic Provider:

a. Ensure that all required support is obtained (proposals and quotations, SOPs, on site packaging staff etc.)

b. Follow up commercial issues such as monthly billing, bidding etc.

c. Ensure that all Provider related packaging issues are addressed

3. Develop and implement new CSIs, assessing the impact both on IRF and Customer’s side and preparing clear business cases to prioritize the most impactful activities and ensure a positive impact. CSIs include but are not limited to:

a. Logistics pricing renegotiation with Suppliers

b. Supplier-provided packaging and/or freight improvements and changes

c. Logistic Provider packaging and/or freight improvements and changes

d. Purchasing incoterm changes to switch packaging and/or freight from Supplier to Logistic Provider and vice versa

e. Logistic flow improvements and/or changes

f. Logistic Provider activities’ improvements and/or efficiencies

4. Organize, categorize and detail the cost saving and price reduction activities (“CSI”s) of IRF, ensuring proper visibility and tracking.

5. Work with and manage all Logistic Providers to define and implement cost saving initiatives requiring their support.

6. Work with Suppliers to define and implement cost saving initiatives requiring their support.

7. Work with Logistic Providers and with the IRF Team to thoroughly analyze all new components for potential cost saving activities before launch.

8. Work with and support other Regions and Customers’ requests for cost saving activities, prioritizing the most impactful ones while ensuring Customer satisfaction.

9. Prepare regular updates regarding completed, in-progress and planned cost saving and price reduction activities and effectively present their status and results to the IRF and SCM Team, as well as the other Regions and Customers.

10. Support Advanced Logistics packaging studies where necessary.

i. Minimum 3 years’ experience in International Logistics, of which a minimum of 2 years in Packaging

ii. Language: fluent English – writing and speaking 

iii. Computer skills: MS Office, Outlook 

iv. Social skills and competences: Proactive, Open mind for intercultural experience, team working, problem solving, analytical skills, communication skills, negotiation & conflict management 

v. Education: Bachelor Degree; Master’s Degree is desirable.
