Job summary:

The primary role of the Partnership Manager is to generate new inquiries for ELG’s programs and services, especially from Mandarin speakers. The Partnership Manager will be active online and at community events, sharing their expertise and representing the organization. They will create and nurture relationships with key referral channels and supportive bodies.

Duties and responsibilities:

The Partnership Manager is expected to undertake the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Key person in developing and nurturing relationships with key referrers and supporters, such as medical providers, schools, government contacts, etc.

• Strategic outreach through proactive efforts including networking, undertaking visits, and hosting ELG booths at events.

• Conducting research into relevant recruitment and outreach channels.

• Being a central representative of ELG to answer questions, share information and articles, and refer appropriately.

• Occasional review of Chinese content/translations.

• Represent the ELG brand: be respectful, professional, and warm in written and aural tone, content, and appearance.

• Uphold ELG’s confidentiality policy and standards of practice at all times.

• Update relevant internal and external policies, procedures, processes and information documents, as required.

Work assignments and priorities will be determined on an ongoing basis by the director of the marketing department, based on need and demand.

Minimum requirements:

• Higher education degree qualification: undergraduate level is the minimum requirement. A relevant discipline, or an additional professional certification in a relevant discipline, is highly desired (such as psychology, special education or social work).

• Past work experience in the therapy, education, or social work sector (minimum of two years required). Past work experience in a support role or human-to-human sales role is highly preferable.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing Mandarin and English is required.

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Access).

ELG is a social enterprise that provides special education, behavioral, developmental, mental health services for both the local and international communities.

Speech-language pathologist Dr. Shari D. Rosen was the first American developmental therapist based in China. When she saw the lack of resources available in Shanghai for families of children with special needs, she, husband Monte Rosen, and friend Andrew Hill came together to form ELG. ELG was launched in 2006.

ELG offers speech-language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy, and mental health counseling by appointment. Some examples include support with learning disabilities, sleep difficulties, handwriting, mental health challenges, coordination, social skills, and much more. People can call with any issue, even if they aren’t sure what specific type of therapy or assessment they need. ELG sees over 600 clients per year across China.

ELG also offers training to parents and professionals, as well as consultation for safeguarding and crisis management.
