Senior Specialist, Marketing

Job Purpose:

  

• To develop, manage and implement country marketing plans

• To develop business that will create value for West

      

Responsibilities:

  

• Identify trends in the pharmaceutical market that may impact West products.

• Collaborate with Sales to review and capture opportunities.

• Identify market needs and recommend products and services to meet those needs.

• Keep up to date on competitive activities and market developments in order to recommend and implement actions of management.

• Manage all local promotional activities and materials (eg. exhibitions, promotional samples, brochures.

• Organize promotional technical seminars for identified target audience and ensure appropriate follow-up

• Develop local marketing strategies and plans in collaboration with regional marketing for assigned products and services

• Ensure the implementation of product plans

• Develop and build close relationships with key customer contacts

• Contribute to the development of the regional product/marketing plan

• Responsible for market development activities of new products and services until transfer to Sales

• Close collaboration with Sales, R&D and TCS to ensure implementation of plans

• Any other projects assigned by supervisor

                              

Requirements:

  

• Degree in Science/ Pharmacy/Business with at least 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical/ medical device/rubber industry environment

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently

• Be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this

      

• Good rapport and negotiation skills with customers and other KOLs

• Able to work independently, analytical and self-driven

• Accurate judgment of business opportunities

• Possess good interpersonal, and communication skills

• A go getter and self-starter who is results oriented

About West Asia Pacific
In 1983, West established operations in Singapore in the Asia Pacific region. In 2009, an injection molding facility opened in Shanghai Qingpu Industrial Zone in China. At present, West has two digital technology centers in Bengaluru India and Taiwan China, three main production bases located in Singapore, Shanghai China and Chennai India, and seven offices and distributor centers in Australia, China, India, Korea, and Singapore.
