Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for ordering materials and equipment.

2. Organising stock and materials.

3. Setting up classrooms.

4. Operating some machinery, with a view to being trained, in the future, on all equipment.

5. Maintaining and testing DT equipment to ensure its normal use and security.

6. Establishing Operation Menu of experiment equipment as well as regulations of the labs.

7. Designing teaching materials and instructions of DT lessons.

8. Assisting teachers in experiment instruction of students.

9. Assisting DT teacher in implementation of teaching plan of experiments.

10. Translating articles about art department events.

11. Inventory and replenish art and DT supplies as needed.

12. Maintenance of all equipment within the DT rooms and give regular report to the DT teachers.

13. Assisting teachers in procurement and conducting annual bulk order.

14. Keeping DT rooms clean and tidy at all times.

15.Assisting in event management of art shows held within and outside the school as directed by Art and DT Teachers, specific event management duties include but are not limited to liaising with galleries to host art shows, designing invitation cards, catalogues, and banners for the show.

16. Assisting in preparing Art and DT trips.

17. Taking over DT class when teachers are absent.

18. Participating and assisting in art and DT related events.

19. Other assigned work as requested by the Heads of school.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Major: Visual Arts, Visual designs, Industrial design related subject.

Language: Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English, minimum CET-6, familiar with Art terminology and able to accurately express meanings.

Teaching Qualification Certificate for Primary or Junior High

Support Huili values.

Experience

A minimum of 2-year relevant experience.

Expertise

Outstanding communication in English and Chinese.

Familiar with operation and maintenance of DT equipment.

Familiar with different types of materials used in DT lesson, such as wood, metal, plastic etc.

Familiar with purchasing channels of equipment, tools and materials of the labs.

Familiar with Office software.

Preferred Aptitudes

International and bilingual school working experience is preferred.

Cross-cultural working experience is preferred.

Demonstrating practice that represents the Huili values at all times (courage, integrity, kindness, respect and responsibility).

Strong passion for the education.

Detailed-oriented and disciplined in time management.

Warm, helpful personality.
