职位描述
What a VFX Artist at EA will do:
-Develops a large range of visual effect art assets according to the agreed design and within the constraints of the target hardware and software. These art assets include particle systems, meshes, textures, and animations.
-Partners closely with the Lead Artists and will be responsible for creating spectacular visual effects.
-Responsible for all technical and aesthetic considerations for the project’s visual effect art style.
-Manages In-Game Particle Effects for elements such as fire, smoke, energy, leveling up, unlocks, etc.
-Communicates with programmers and designers as necessary to bring tasks to completion.
-Provides creative input specific to assigned tasks.
Who You Are:
-2+ years’ experience in the game industry is preferred (or demonstrated equivalent visual effects ability).
-Experience with creating FX in a game engine (Unreal/Unity/CryEngine…etc).
-Advanced knowledge of most game development tools (Photoshop, AfterEffects, 3ds Max, Maya, or any other 3d software are required); some VFX plugins are preferred (like FumeFX …etc).
-Experience with real-time shaders in modern game engines.
-Scripting in engine or 3D software skills (Mel, Maxscript or Python, etc.) would be plus.
-Ability to view visual reference of an effect, deconstruct it, and re-create it in a real-time game engine.
-Strong knowledge of environmental effects, lighting and dynamics.
-Ability to be creative beyond reality and demonstrate a flair for sensational and extraordinary effects.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-Good English reading and writing ability would be plus.
-Honest, direct, and flexible approach to work yet firm.
-Solid technical abilities to aid in creating new visual effects art pipelines.
-Knowledge of source control software such as Perforce.
-Ability to focus on keep content relevant to the current projects art style and work within those limitations.
-Meticulous and organized in the approach to tasks, files and storage of the material.

技能检验:
1.2年以上游戏特效经验,参与大型3D MMO项目优先
2.能够独立完成各类特效需求
3.熟练运用3DMax,Maya,Photoshop等三维和二维软件
4.熟练使用Unity和AE等特效相关软件
5.熟悉主流游戏引擎及相关插件
6.强烈责任心及耐心,良好团队合作精神
7.手绘能力强,对特效的整体色彩和节奏有良好把握
