Description

Join the product architecture development/assessment and detail design, determine thermal total solution, verify system thermal reliability. Plan and execute all thermal related activities from thermal modeling concept, evaluation, simulation, testing, analysis, debugging, optimizing, to introduction into production etc.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for architecture thermal definition and detail design on tablet & smart phone etc products.

- Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define system requirements on thermal.

- Responsible for thermal modeling, simulation, root cause analysis, validation, issue addressing to meet product thermal spec in time.

- Optimize thermal total solution by managing cost, quality and time.

- Support R&D group for system stack-up, components placement, PCB layouts and part design.

- Work with vendors if necessary for issue debugging at chip level, component level, device level and environmental level.

- Document thermal test plan, progress and lesson-learn

- Track leading edge cooling solution at concept, material and component, also track roadmap of advanced cooling tech vendors.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

-Minimum 5 above years experience

Knowledge and Skills

- Knowlege about about CFD, Strong user of thermal simulation tools, such as FLOWTHERM, ICEPACK.

- Knowledge of electrical, electronics & mechanical system on smart phone and tablet

- Familiar with thermal measurement tools and test tools.

- Language ability: good spoken and written English

- Knowledge about Mechanical design tool such as Pro/E

- Be able to communicate effectively with members of other teams and vendors.

- Good interpersonal skills: Comfortable with technical report writing.

- Task independence. Ability to aggressively drive tasks independently.

- Team orientated, work well within a team
