Job Purpose:

- Provide escalated support by investigating and resolving complicated hardware and Windows & Linux Server operating system issues

- Develop expert understanding of technical best practices for server systems and provide recommendations for improvement

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows based servers and perform post provisioning tasks such as backups, monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery planning

- Provide appropriate communication, facilitate bringing other parties together, and complete post resolution reporting for high severity incidents

- Identify and evaluate new technologies that can improve processes within IT and the business as a whole

- Perform project management tasks as assigned

- Identify weak points and vulnerabilities within the server infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement

- Create, update and enhance written Standard Operating Procedures and documentation using guidelines focused on ease of understanding and completeness

- Problem resolution including root cause analysis

- Perform after-hours or weekend server maintenance as needed

Experience preferred:

- Five+ years Windows Systems Administration experience

- Five+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server platforms

- Five+ years’ experience supporting Linux

- Five+ years’ experience using server monitoring and reporting tools

- Five+ years’ experience working with complex networking technologies, such as layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, web content filters, and VLANs

- Experience with VMware and its related technologies (ESX, ESXi, Lab Manager)

- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, understanding the release processes for Integration, QA, Stage, and Production

- Three+ years project management experience

- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server

- Strong expertise supporting IIS web server is a plus

- Experience in MNC is a plus

- ITIL qualification is a plus
