Responsibilities

Based at our CS Training Centre in Singapore, you are tasked with regional vocational watchmaking training activities (certification trainings for watchmakers) according to the contents of the AP corporate training syllabus. You will further provide technical advice and support to any of the Customer Service Centres within Asia zone, in support of their goals to achieve target delivery lead times and repair quality, following the Group’s strategic plan.

In this position, you will report to the Head of Group Training and Regional CS Manager on the following areas:

• Organise a master training schedule (annual) for all existing and new watchmakers/ polishers/ operators ("Trainees") for the Asian countries or region placed under your charge

• Conduct watchmaking training, with aim to transfer technical skills and knowledge to Trainees sent by AP affiliates and AP authorized service agents in Asia

• To evaluate the degree of knowledge acquisition for each Trainee, and accord due certification, in order to guarantee optimum repair quality on AP watches

• To assist CS Managers (AP affiliates) in planning for their watchmaking team’s technical development and work organization

• To follow and continually update the corporate training syllabus, and other training-related programs introduced by AP

• To perform administrative tasks related to training activities, to maintain the budget and to manage logistics for the training centre

  Requirements

  Holder of a Watchmaking certification (CFC or equivalent), you should have minimum 5 years of proven experience performing watch servicing in Customer Service in the luxury watch industry. Previous experience in providing training or technical supervision would be a definite advantage.

  You are able to communicate fluently in English, and have to be of at least intermediate level in either Chinese (Mandarin) or Japanese. In addition, knowledge of any other (Asian) languages, e.g. Cantonese would also be relevant.

  Being keen to discover new techniques and skills yourself, you are passionate and highly motivated to transfer technical knowledge to others. With an open and approachable demeanour, you interact well with people from different cultures. You are methodical and patient in working with trainees, and can maintain a good level of objectiveness in making assessments and evaluations
