For both ends, Cost Engineering & Benchmarking is increasingly important which is why the unit is currently setting up a branch in Asia, location Shanghai (PS/PCB-AP)

Job Description

• Shape the future: You establish solutions for best process- and product costs and create cost transparency
• Structured Assessment: You structurally analyze and determine the cost drivers and cost targets for design and manufacturing concepts for our products and purchased components, and develop ideas for cost optimization in design and along the product lifecycle and value chain (internal and external)
• Implementation: You derive ‘fields of action’ and strategies to reduce cost based on your cost understanding
• Live cooperation: As part of cross functional teams, you moderate workshops for idea generation and cost optimization, work closely with colleagues and stakeholders in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Internationality: You are part of an international Cost Engineering and Benchmarking team and neutral sparring partner to Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing
• Take responsibility: You take responsibility for and represent your results independently and convincing for BU management, the SE-Team, plant and purchasing, including but not limited to supplier and plant cost workshops

Qualifications

• Education: Completed Bachelor/Master in preferably Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering & Management.
• Working Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience (i.e. engineering, manufacturing, purchasing). Affinity with cost structure analysis is of advantage.
• Personality: Strong in communication, responsible, convincing, resilient
• Mentality: Hands-on, result-focused, interdisciplinary thinking and high willingness to learn
• Language Skills: Good English language skills
• Travelling: Willingness to travel (to plants, suppliers)
• Calculation Tool: Affinity with TcPCM is of advantage
