Basic Function / General Description:

• Lead electrical design activities from concept to product release

• On-site support for product debugging and qualification base on Otis standard

Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

As an electrical engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Develop product concept with pros/cons analysis

• Demonstrate design with MASC (modeling/analysis/simulation/calculation)

• Design of elevator components (controllers, modules, etc)

• Develop and execute the test plan

• Verify/qualify the design

• Documentation of engineering works according to Otis product development process (e.g.: requirement, drawings, test reports, user’s manuals etc)

• Coordinate with other function to ensure program success

• Perform other duties as assigned and requested

Accountability & measures:

• Correct and efficient performance of the tasks with sense of ownership

• Complete the job on target with respect to quality, time, and cost

• Support others to achieve departmental objectives

• Self-motivated for continuous improvement of product and personal skills to adapt external environment change.

Work experience & skills requirements:

• Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of design experience with Master’s degree or 5 years with Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Working experience in global company preferred

• Language:

• CET-6 and above. Good in written and oral English

• Computer Skills:

• E3 tool for wiring diagram

• Microsoft office tool set

• Other Key Competencies:

• Sense of ownership and responsibility, result oriented

• Creative, open-minded, smart and energetic

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Logical thinking and pro-active

• Other Preferred Experiences:

• Electrical circuit design, Component selection, qualification, EMI/EMC related working experience.

• General knowledge on Elevator industry

• Experiences in VF Application

• Familiar with the Safety Certification by TUV

• Experience with Labview or MiniTab
