Position Specification: 

• This position is responsible for leading development program of elevator/escalator controller,

• Lead an IPD team for development of new products in accordance with vision of LDC China and OTIS global strategy.

• Manage a cross functional team from different departments/countries.

• Manage Program Schedule, Product Cost and Budget in line with agreed targets

• Communicate effectively with Sr. Management 

Basic Accountabilities:

• Establish project plans and resource allocation

• Assign jobs to IPD members and report the project status to leader periodically

• Present goal and objective to team members and lead them to go forward with work in consideration of policy and plan

• Maximize the results for determined goal by utilizing available resources economically

• Continuously enhance a problem solving ability of team members by motivation and guidance.

• Maintain horizontal/vertical communication smoothly

• Acquire information about technology, market and share it with team members

• Evaluate members’ achievements rationally

• Conduct quality and passport reviews as per Otis Product Development Process (PDP)

• Manage resources, schedule and program risks to ensure on-time completion of programs

• Excellent Chinese and English communication skills for speaking, reading, and writing

• Self-motivated and able to handle pressure

• Good business operations and new product development knowledge

• Knowledge of, and experience with, statistical process control and advanced quality planning tools such FMEAs, control plans, control charts, Ppk/Cpk studies & analysis, manufacturing flow charts and measurement systems

Principle Working Relations:

• Engineering and quality, Supply Management teams, Worldwide Otis Engineering partners, manufacturing, Field installation and Service

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of working experience of project or business development skills for components or systems with Master’s degree or 5 years with Bachelor’s degree related with program management.

• At least 1 year work experience in global company.

Must Have Requirement:

• Experiences in leading program of electrical control system

• Strong leadership, logical thinking

• Excellent skills on planning, reporting, presenting and decision making

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross functional colleagues

• Dealing with conflicts and preventing conflicts to encouraging team members to focus on the core tasks

Preferred Requirement:

• General knowledge on Elevator industry

• Experiences in hardware and software integration

• In-depth knowledge of electronics hardware

• PMP certificate is preferred.

• Experience of robust design.

• Familiar with benchmarking and strategic analysis.

• Familiar with international product certification standards

Language: Good in written and spoken English, CET-6 preferred

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Tools (including MS Project)

Other Key Competencies:

• Creative and open mind, work hard and energetic, good teamwork ethic

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Product Development work and system test experience at global company.
