JOB DESCRIPTION

Sourcing specialist drives and coordinates all sourcing deliverables for the projects and products, both in-house development and outsourcingitems, all along the product life cycle.

Sourcing specialist ensures our new products have the most technologically advanced, expected quality and low-cost components available to secure a fast time to market and the product profitability.

Sourcing specialistoffers the sourcing expertise in the designated categories and contributes to our sourcing strategies and the efficiency of supply chain management.

RESPONSIBLITIES

- Sourcing specialist manages the NPD(New Product Development) project sourcing and is responsible for sourcing activities in an effective and efficient manner;

• Develop the suppliers , introduce more cost-efficient material and techniques;
• Clarify the technical requirments with internal designers and the outer suppliers,
• Deal with RFQ, get the supplier’s quotation or proposals timely;
• Get the supplier’s technical inputs effectively communicated;
• Work with suppliers closely to ensure samples arrivals as expected;
• Follow up and track the new projects status.

- Sourcing specialist contributes to the supplier management initiatives;

• Manage and optimize current supplier base;
• Develop new suppliers: search, screen, evaluate , analyze, audit and select suppliers;
• Develop and manage supplier relationships;
• Monitor supplier performance with regard to cost, quality, and technology and service level.

- Sourcing specialistcommunicates effectively and efficiently with all related stakeholders;

• Do whatever it takes to achieve each milestone in accordance with the project time table and product development cycle;
• Report and escalate issues when necessary including supplier risks with alternative options for decision making to the Project Team;
• Cooperate with requestor departments(Marketing and Designer), and Supplier Quality team to improve product cost, reliability and performance;
• Keep effective communication with other function teams.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor degree or above; technological and engineering background;

- Good knowledge on the material types for cosmetic (including its packaging);

- Capable to understand designer’s requirements and suppliers proposals; Able to read drawings ( diecut file ,artwork file etc) ;

- Good command of spoken & written English, (English as working language);

- At least 3 years sourcing and/or supplier development experiences, consumer industry experiencepreferred;

- Can-do attitude , highly adaptive ability under pressure in project timeframe;

- Good interpersonal communication skills, esp. negotiation skill;

- Familiar with China manufacturers and China markets;

- Self-motivated and energetic, details oriented;

- Good team player.
