Our European Marine & Offshore module client in Shanghai, is looking for a Finance Controller, to lead the finance processes, compliant with GAAP & IFRS. The position requires experience with monthly financial reporting, manufacturing related financial planning, cost budgeting, forecasting, annual financial statements. Title：Finance Controller
Job responsibility:
- Operates and manages the local financial accounting following instructions from both the CFO and the Group Controlling of the parent company
- Ensures the company’s compliance with all legal accounting and tax requirements stipulated by the local authorities as well as with company financial reporting guidelines
- Is responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial statements (incl. financial planning) as well as the quarterly consolidation package for the attention of parent company.
- Ensures that parent company is duly provided with all required and requested financial information, in particular the one that is due on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Prepares the annual budget and quarterly financial for Controllers (estimates) in coordination and cooperation with all relevant departments of the company.
- Develops and maintains the Internal Controlling System according to the formal requirements
- Ensures the accurate confirmation and disclosure of all intercompany transactions
- Is the first contact person for the Group Controlling of parent company.
- Prepares the relevant documentation for the annual interim and year end audit of the financial statements in coordination with the company’s statutory auditors.
- Participates the regularly held meeting of Shanghai’s local management
Requirements:
- Has a degree in Accounting and Finance (CPA or equivalent education).
- Has a basic understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP) and is aware of the variety of transactions which accompany an international business environment.
- Has working experience in financial accounting (cost accounting is an advantage), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Has high moral and professional behavior at all times
- Possesses excellent organizational skills.
- Has excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office) and keen intuition for IT issues.
- Has excellent English skills both verbal and written.
- Is provided with the power that is necessary to accomplish all the duties which go along with his position.
- Has the authorization to request any information from members of the management and/or staff that is necessary to assess the financial status of the company and to take possible actions.
- Is entitled to initiate any measures which are required to cut down costs in Controlling of budget over-run.
