Role overview:

This role offers an exciting mix of responsibilities in the field of vehicle NVH, combining project management, technical expertise and work in several fields such as engineering, testing, monitoring.

The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

· Provide expertise to all Ricardo Shanghai staff on NVH related issues

· Identify when NVH action is required

· Give advice on noise improvement

· Give advice on vibrations behaviour improvement

· Able to guide customer or customer test provider to validate its components

· Represent Ricardo Shanghai in all NVH related discussions within Ricardo World

· Survey evolutions of NVH good practice and standards with Ricardo World NVH teams

· Coach and check work quality of China based NVH engineers

· Work on complex NVH issues and produce reports and specifications

The Role:

Develop within Ricardo Shanghai NVH skills.

? Take on NVH projects for Chinese customers with support from Ricardo UK NVH teams and deliver NVH deliverables to Chinese customers

? Set a network of partners with Ricardo UK NVH departments to be up to date with standards, NVH needs, and get or bring support to those

? Coach engineers involved in NVH projects in Ricardo Shanghai so they take optimum resolutions to improve customer NVH expectations

? Bring NVH expertise for customer NVH case pre-study

? Manage engineers working on NVH subjects

? Monitor all NVH deliverables of Ricardo Shanghai by tracking delays and setting action plans for issues met

The ideal candidate:

· Strong experience on team coaching on NVH standards and know how

· Strong experience leading autonomously NVH oriented projects

· Strong experience in the field of calculation and analysis for noise and vibrations on vehicle

· Good knowledge on testing methods for noise and vibrations analysis

· Knowledge of vehicle / engine / transmission components and working

· Open minded and result oriented

· Willing to work on technical issues in B2B environment

· Influential and articulate in both written and oral communication Chinese / English

· Willing to travel and comfortable working across a range of cultures

Qualifications:

· BS or MS in automotive engineering with major in NVH

· 8+ years of work experience in vehicle NVH
